Deus Ex 20th Anniversary Remix Album Announced
If you’re a fan of the hit role-playing videogame series, Deus Ex, and the first game’s incredible soundtrack, you’re in luck.
Video game record label Materia Collective is releasing an album of remixed tracks from the original game to coincide with its 20th anniversary this month.
Announced in a recent press release, Conspiravision will see original composers Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos return to the fold to create 17 re-jigged versions of the game’s beloved score.
And what’s more, the album is available for pre-order today, with its release coming June 23. The album will be available in both digital and physical CD formats.
The tracklist is as follows:
The album will be available on a range of online media including Spotify, Bandcamp, Google Play and more. You can click here to choose the service from which you consume music.
Deus Ex composer Alexander Brandon, who has also voiced characters for games such as Skyrim and DC Universe Online, enthused about the collaboration in the press release:
“Michiel Van Den Bos and I have been asked to do more Deus Ex music ever since it was released,” he said. “There have been discussions along the way with various Deus Ex projects for us to contribute but they never quite came to fruition. I think this album is different because it’s mostly electronic, so it was neat to write this album as we might have 20 years later.”
