Along with the next-gen announcement, Big Ant Studios also revealed its Annual Pass content roadmap:

  • Annual Pass DLC #1, released back in September, added the Roland-Garros, OWL ARENA, Mutua Madrid Open stadiums, and Tie Break Tens tournament.
  • Annual Pass DLC #2, available today, adds two new players: Sofia Kenin from the United States and Karolina Plíšková from the Czech Republic.
  • Annual Pass DLC #3, available in January, will add Argentinean player Juan Martin del Potro and Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
  • Annual Pass DLC #4, available in March, will include a new tournament, eight unannounced players, new stadiums, gear, and clothing.

Tennis World Tour 2 Annual Pass Next-Gen

Tennis World Tour 2 was first released on September 23, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The Switch version was released a bit later on October 15. The game features multiple game modes such as Career, Quick Match, Online, Tournament, and Ranked Match and includes several official courts with 48 real-life players, among them Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Ashleigh Barty.

Big Ant Studios promised Tennis World Tour 2 to be a realistic tennis game that “faithfully transcribes the competitive nature” of the sport with increased “fluidity and realism” compared to the first game. Our review did not believe the company completely delivered on its promise. Will the gameplay improvements for the next-gen version of Tennis World Tour 2 and subsequent updates manage to finally make the game reach its full potential? Or do you think the base game is already good enough to replace the hole left by classic tennis titles like Top Spin and Virtua Tennis? Well, don’t be shy, let’s discuss the game in the comments below.
